Since Permanent Make-up isn't implemented as deep as a traditional tattoo and because of the use of semi-permanent ink your brows will naturally fade over time.
Typically, it lasts anywhere from 1-3 years. There are many factors that go into brow longevity. Typically oily skin, sun-bathers, someone who uses a lot of AHA's, or chemical exfoliants will see fading faster (closer to 1 year) than someone with dry or mature skin who is adamant about taking care of their brows. To keep your brows looking fresh touch-ups are recommended around 12-18 months.
